Our story began in 1978 with the wood working talents of brothers, Mark and Michael Nordstrom. Over the years their workmanship has done more than serve the purpose for which it was created, it has told a story of history and captured the mystery of an era bygone. Two decades later, in 1998, Mark and Michael decided to bring this timeless tradition into homes for families to enjoy for years to come by specializing in reclaimed heart pine floors. Today, Nordstrom Heart Pine is known for having the best reclaimed heart pine beams and planks available on the east coast. The wood is carefully identified and removed from buildings and warehouses throughout the country. The wood is then shipped to the Nordstrom mill in Georgetown, South Carolina where they are de-nailed, cut into boards, kiln dried, milled, graded and packaged. Throughout this process Nordstrom's wood is continuously inspected for quality. To appreciate and understand the care and craftsmanship that goes into these fine products you are invited to visit and tour the mill to view the operation and finished product for yourself. Take a step back in time with Nordstrom Heart Pine floors for your home today.
